POC Helmets & Armor wins the Gold Award at the German Designpreis 2007

POC was recognized for excellence in design with the Gold Award for the Skull Comp Helmet in the 2007 Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany.

As part of the opening ceremony of the Ambiente - International Frankfurt Fair on 9 February 2007, the German Design Council / Rat für Formgebung presented the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.

64.9% of steel cans are recycled

Brussels, 10 January 2007 - More than 5 million metric tonnes of steel cans were recycled in 2005 according to the International Iron and Steel Institute's Committee on Packaging (PACKCO). This represents an average recycling rate for steel packaging of 64.9%. The rate has been continuously rising over the past five years. The 2005 recycling rate for steel packaging is 7.4% higher than in 2001.
