Environmental remarks Polyamide is made from caprolactam which can be derived with several processes. Here crude oil is processed via naphta to benzene, that to cyclohexane and finally to caprolactam. Caprolactam is polymerised at 250°C to PA. The required energy supply was assumed to come from oil. After drying glass fibre is mixed. (See also glassfibre)
