General

Remarks TPA is made from botanical resources like wheat, maize, potato, rice and tapioca. Its properties degrade by application of water, mechanical energy, temperature increase and enzymes. The resulting biodegradablility is employed for specific applications. It leaves nothing else than compost. Very well suited for low mechanical applications. Thermoplastic Starch is produced by AVEBE, Biop, Biotech and Novamont.
