Remarks This copolymer of hyroxybutyrate and hydroxyvalerate is the most widely industrially produced PHA. It is based on renewable biomaterials like glucose, sucrose or starch. The material shows piezo-electric properties, is stable in hot and cold water and alcohols. Not or weak resistant to acids and alkalines.
