We are proud to present our new website. We gave the site new fresh looks and we developed a better and more intuitive multi-entry interface (search & select, browse & explore) and the best thing about Matbase is, from now you can visit our site for free. You do not have to register or log-on to access our database. You have direct access to our online material property data which is offered in a clear and simple way. We made it easy for you to select materials and to found your choices.
Matbase distinguishes itself from other material websites by offering mechanical, physical and environmental data on all material categories, ordering them by material type.
Our ambition is to make Matbase the most complete and most consulted materials database in the next few years.
In the nearby future we will link materials with suppliers. So with every material you will find information on suppliers world wide or in your region. If you are a supplier we would like to invite you to send us relevant material data and list your company on our website.

Last november was a memorable month for us at Matbase, we passed the milestone of 1000 visitors per day. So I guess we were not that far of when we thought it would be a good idea to make the material database we used as students during our stay at the Delft University of Technology accessable to other people. Apparently, people appreciate the easy way they can lookup the material properties and how we present the data.
