BOSTON, MA, May 8, 2007 - RISI, the leading information provider for the global forest products industry, today announced the launch of a new service, the Wood Products Price Service.
This online service is the first to provide easy access to not only current but historical market prices for more than 1600 lumber and panel products. Using market prices and commentaries from Crow's pricing newsletters, the new service allows quick understanding of market trends with powerful new interactive price tables and historical pricing spreadsheets.
"Having a history of weekly price movements for any product at your fingertips should be of tremendous value to traders," said Ken Tennefoss, Editor of Crow's Weekly Market Report. "You can instantly see price trends, even down to the individual item level. For instance, you can quickly see how the price spread between imported rough moulding and domestic production has changed over the past couple of months, which can help you spot opportunities in the market."
The Wood Products Price Service is available in five focused editions: Framing Lumber, Structural Panels, Industrial Lumber, Particleboard and MDF, and Cedar and Treated Lumber.

Apparently, people appreciate the easy way they can lookup the material properties and how we present the data.
